Configuration

Reward activation

  1. On the Admin sidebar, go to Stores → Settings → Configuration.
  2. In the left panel, expand Takyon Commerce and choose Reward Points.
  3. Expand the Activation section.
  4. Set Activation Period to the desired period in days. Leave empty to activate points immediately. This setting only affects manual balance updates. The reward points that customers earned before the setting change will not be affected.
  5. In Processing Frequency (Cron) field, specify the processing schedule using Cron expressions.
  6. When complete, click Save Config.
  7. Clean the cache.

Reward expiration

  1. On the Admin sidebar, go to Stores → Settings → Configuration.
  2. In the left panel, expand Takyon Commerce and choose Reward Points.
  3. Expand the Expiration section.
  4. Set Expiration Period to the desired period in days. Leave empty to disable expiration. This setting will only affect new balance updates. The reward points that customers earned before the setting change will not be affected.
  5. In Processing Frequency (Cron) field, specify the processing schedule using Cron expressions.
  6. When complete, click Save Config.
  7. Clean the cache.

Redeeming

  1. On the Admin sidebar, go to Stores → Settings → Configuration.
  2. In the left panel, expand Takyon Commerce and choose Reward Points.
  3. Expand the General section.
  4. Set Partial Redeeming Allowed to the desired option.

When set to Yes, the customer is allowed to choose how many reward points to apply to the order. When set to No, the customer can't choose the number of points to apply.

  1. Set Redeem Limit in Percents to the desired option from 1% to 100%. This setting determines the maximum percentage of the order subtotal that can be covered with reward points.
  2. When complete, click Save Config.
  3. Clean the cache.

Sales

  1. On the Admin sidebar, go to Stores → Settings → Configuration.
  2. In the left panel, expand Takyon Commerce and choose Reward Points.
  3. Expand the Sales section.
  4. Set Reward for Order in Percents to the desired option from 0% to 100%. This setting determines the amount of reward in percents that the customer receives for placing an order. Choosing 0% disables rewards for orders.
  5. Set Subtract Applied Points from Reward to Yes if the reward for the order should be reduced by the amount of points applied to the order.
  6. Set Activation Period to the desired period in days. The period starts after the order completion. Leave empty to activate points immediately. The reward points that customers earned before the setting change will not be affected.
  7. When complete, click Save Config.
  8. Clean the cache.

Notifications

Balance increase notifications

Applies only to manual balance updates.

  1. On the Admin sidebar, go to Stores → Settings → Configuration.
  2. In the left panel, expand Takyon Commerce and choose Reward Points.
  3. Expand the Notifications section.
  4. Expand the Balance Increase subsection.
  5. Set Enabled to Yes.
  6. Choose the store contact that appears as the Email Sender of the message.
  7. Choose the Email Template to be used for notifications.
  8. When complete, click Save Config.
  9. Clean the cache.

Expiration warning notifications

  1. On the Admin sidebar, go to Stores → Settings → Configuration.
  2. In the left panel, expand Takyon Commerce and choose Reward Points.
  3. Expand the Notifications section.
  4. Expand the Expiration Warning subsection.
  5. Set Enabled to Yes.
  6. In Processing Frequency (Cron) field, specify the processing schedule using Cron expressions.
  7. In Timing Options field, specify the notification schedule in days before the expiration.

For example, if you set Timing Options to 7, the customer will receive the notification 7 days before reward points expire.

You can specify multiple numbers separated by commas. If you enter "1,7", the notification will be first sent 7 days before the expiration and then a day before the expiration.

  1. Choose the store contact that appears as the Email Sender of the message.
  2. Choose the Email Template to be used for notifications.
  3. When complete, click Save Config.
  4. Clean the cache.

Expiration notifications

  1. On the Admin sidebar, go to Stores → Settings → Configuration.
  2. In the left panel, expand Takyon Commerce and choose Reward Points.
  3. Expand the Notifications section.
  4. Expand the Expiration Notification subsection.
  5. Set Enabled to Yes.
  6. Choose the store contact that appears as the Email Sender of the message.
  7. Choose the Email Template to be used for notifications.
  8. When complete, click Save Config.
  9. Clean the cache.

Order reward notifications

  1. On the Admin sidebar, go to Stores → Settings → Configuration.
  2. In the left panel, expand Takyon Commerce and choose Reward Points.
  3. Expand the Notifications section.
  4. Expand the Reward for Order subsection.
  5. Set Enabled to Yes.
  6. Choose the store contact that appears as the Email Sender of the message.
  7. Choose the Email Template to be used for notifications.
  8. When complete, click Save Config.
  9. Clean the cache.

Configure total display type

This configuration field controls how the storefront displays the reward points total.

Changing this setting affects the order view, the cart page, and the checkout.

  1. On the Admin sidebar, go to Stores → Settings → Configuration.
  2. In the left panel, expand Takyon Commerce and choose Reward Points.
  3. Expand the General section.
  4. Set Total Display Type to one of the following options:
  • Only Points
  • Only Currency
  • Both
  1. When complete, click Save Config.
  2. Clean the cache.

Configure tax

In some countries, any discount (including reward points) should reduce the VAT amount. Please consult with your tax advisor.

To apply tax to the final price (after discount and reward points discount), do the following:

  1. On the Admin sidebar, go to Stores → Settings → Configuration.
  2. In the left panel, expand Sales and choose Tax.
  3. Expand Calculation Settings section.
  4. Set Apply Reward Points On Tax to Yes.
  5. When complete, click Save Config.
  6. Clean the cache.

Configure reward points total sort order

To configure the checkout totals sort order, do the following:

  1. On the Admin sidebar, go to Stores → Settings → Configuration.
  2. In the left panel, expand Sales and choose Sales.
  3. Expand Checkout Totals Sort Order section.
  4. Set Reward Points to the desired sort order.
  5. When complete, click Save Config.
  6. Clean the cache.
